The story begins in 1970, with the opening of the first hotel in Corsica, designed and built by Edouard Cardi, then aged 20. Several other charming tourist establishments were to follow, all in the upper reaches of Corsica.
Edouard and Marie-Ange Cardi left Corsica for the Côte d'Azur. They boldly ventured into a charming hotel at Cap d'Antibes, which they ennobled by cultivating the art of living by the Mediterranean.
Marie-Ange and Edouard Cardi's entrepreneurial spirit then took them to Beaulieu-sur-Mer, where they took over a second 4-star establishment in 2001.
On their return to Corsica in 2003, the couple planned to open a luxury hotel in Porto Vecchio, Marie Ange's home town.
Construction of the Hotel Don Cesar began in 2008, and the hotel opened in June 2012. The hotel was designed and built entirely by Edouard, from the floor plan to the design of each piece of furniture. Marie-Ange is the hostess.
The adventure continues from generation to generation! In 2022, Don Cesar celebrated its tenth anniversary, still passionately run by the family, with a breath of fresh air breathed in by the second generation.

In summer, La Paillotte welcomes you facing the gulf of Porto Vecchio for a lunch or a refreshing cocktail at sunset.

Kids Club
